A Ribbon

If I come back after I die, I think I want to come back as a ribbon-like essence, a sparkly being made of little mirror-like pieces that are liquid instead of hard and sharp. I would move in a fluid motion, sparkly and shiny.

Living people would not be able to see me. I would touch them with my fluid, ribbon-essence and fuse a song into their soul of their full potential. Each person would have their own music and lyrics.

Some people that I'd touch would take off with their song and live it like a dance. I would check in with those people from time to time and it would make me happy to watch them living so fully.

I'd have to wrap myself around other people for long periods of time, sometimes throughout the whole night. I'd spend most of my time with these precious people.

Some people I'd touch, and they’d just keep trying to dance to someone else's song. I'd leave them alone until they finally wanted to hear their own music.

A life giving ribbon. I think that's what I'd be.
